Cinemapolis is committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for moviegoers, staff, and volunteers. 


In the interest of creating such an environment, the Cinemapolis Board of Directors has approved the following policies: 



Bathrooms and our lobby are for customer use only. 


Food and beverages brought from the outside may be consumed in the lobby but not brought into theaters. Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into the theater except by approved vendors for special events. 


Service animals are welcome. Pets are not allowed in the theater. Per ADA guidelines, service animals must be under the control of their handlers. 

Harassing or threatening Cinemapolis staff or audience members is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: yelling, following, filming or photographing without permission, and using abusive gestures or language. 

Smoking, chewing, and using tobacco and cannabis product ( including vaping and electronic cigarettes) within the theater is prohibited. 

Disruptive behavior resulting from the influence of drugs or alcohol is not permitted. 

Rollerskating, roller blading, skateboarding and bicycling within the theater is prohibited. Theater guests must store bicycles outside the theater in bike racks. 

Blocking sidewalks or entrances to the theater, or obstructing any passageways within the theater is prohibited.

Theater guests may not enter staff only areas.

Theater guests must be clothed. This includes shirts and shoes. 

Petitioning, selling, canvassing, and/or soliciting for services, money, items, or endorsements without express permission from the executive director is prohibited. 

Weapons may not be brought into the theater. 

Audience members are expected to refrain from making unreasonable noise during films. 

Stealing, destroying, defacing, or intentionally damaging theater property is prohibited. Violators of this policy will be instructed to leave the theater. 

Enforcement

Those failing to follow the rules listed above will be informed of this code of conduct and asked to comply immediately. Those failing to comply will be instructed to leave.  If violators do not leave, the police will be called and Cinemapolis may file trespassing charges. A patron may be deemed persona non grata.

Appeal Process

Persons banned from the theater may appeal this ban by sending a written request to the executive director explaining the circumstances and requesting a review of the persona non grata designation.  The executive director can be reached at director@cinemapolis.org
